I have almost finished copying all my old SparkPeople posts into a Word documents. All told, with emails and bits of writing added in, the document is over 400 pages long!! With some photos though. I have written a book these last 15 years. Most of it to do with my obsession about my weight and what affects the weight--emotional eating.
I've just finished adding blog entries in from January 2015 and saw that I weighed 157 pounds then. Which is only 4 pounds less than what I currently weigh. So, in a way that is a kind of success: I have only gained 4 pounds in 6 years. The previous 5 years, previous to 2015, I gained 25 pounds. So at least the momentum has slowed and hopefully this will be the year when I can turn it around.
July was a good month. I kept to the Noom plan, weighing myself daily (lost 2 pounds in July, slow but at least in the right direction), and I kept attending Zumba classes 2-3 times a week. And I usually achieved my 10,000 steps. I also dog sat for my dd and her family which meant that I slept over at their house every single night. It was difficult while I was doing it--I felt a little nervous as they live on a fairly large piece of land and their sliding back door doesn't lock. Yes, I put a stick in the track but I still felt nervous at night. They have two big dogs but the dogs are chickens--if there was an intruder, I think one would run and hide and the other would jump all over the intruder joyfully thinking he'd come to play.
What a project copying blogs can turn into, especially if you have been blogging for a lot of years!
ReplyDeleteLove the dogs... they look so happy, and yes, totally understand about their personalities. Of course, you are a part of their extended pack, so you don't know how protective they might be if someone triggered your own alarms... they pick up on that sort of thing very well!
Beautiful photos, as always!
Have you discovered the "Reading List"? You can follow my blog by clicking on the "Follow" button at the bottom of any of my blog pages (ctrl-end) where the followers are shown. Then my "new" blog entries (any any one else's who you are following) will show up in your Reading List. It's not as good as getting an e-mail, but it's what Blogger has to offer.
BTW, Reading List had some technical issues earlier this week, and it does have a bit of a lag between posting time and when it shows up in everyone's reading list, and a few of mine got backed up by a couple of days! So did those of others.
Wishing you a good weekend ahead!
